Third-party notices

DoThat is built on open-source software. Most of it asks only that its licence travels with the code, which it does. The components below ask for something more — an acknowledgement, or credit to the person who made the artwork — and this page is where we give it.

Software in the product

Licensed to us on the condition that we say so, and we do:

  • FreeType by The FreeType Project

    FreeType License · used in the product · github.com/golang/freetype · freetype.org

Artwork in the product

Avatars and workspace logos are drawn with DiceBear. Its code is under the MIT licence; each set of artwork carries its own licence and its own artist, so every set is credited here — including the ones that arrive in the package and are never drawn.

Everything else we depend on

Every other component in DoThat is under one of the licences we accept — MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD-2-Clause, BSD-3-Clause, ISC, MPL-2.0, 0BSD, Unlicense, CC0-1.0, Python-2.0, MIT-0, BlueOak-1.0.0 — each of which asks only that its own licence text stays with the code, which it does, inside the package.

Every night a scan reads the licence of every component we ship and stops on anything outside that list, so this page is a record of what we carry rather than a snapshot of what we once carried. It is reviewed at least once a year, and next by 30 September 2027.
